“Like any business, a loss of significant revenue would presumably require a re-adjustment of staffing levels. Without any details on the proposed facility, it’s difficult to estimate.”

Chairman on Niagra Falls Tourism Wayne Thomson echoed these views, saying: “We’d just be dividing the same pie of money into smaller pieces. And this isn’t supported by everyone in Toronto, anyway.”

“The theatre people in Toronto have been saying for a long time they don’t want a casino. They think it would divide the market and isn’t the kind of thing they want to be promoting.”
